Testing 1, 2, … That’s It.

.

I’m not a big fan of free samples.

If I’m going to sample something,
I want it to be the really expensive stuff!

.

note: a trial size suit would be fine … if I’m arrested.

double note: I choose random stuff very carefully.

triple note: being a picky eater must involve actually picking fruits and vegetables off of whatever they grow on before showing up in supermarkets.
I could be wrong: I usually am.

quadruple note: scented toilet paper makes my nose run … it’s a vicious circle.

quintuple note:3 square meals” probably means something different to toilet paper people.

.

what I’m listening to now # 57: Walk off the EarthSomebody That I Used To Know“.

Virgin

Some times “sex” isn’t needed to sell stuff.

note: I’d rather be “on the virg” than “on the cusp” figuratively speaking.
… unless it’s written down as “being on the verge” … then it just sounds like being on a grassy patch of land beside a road.

double note: I thought virgin meant a martini … maybe that’s ver-gin.

Today #307

Today I wanted to put on a post about dog owners being anal … or pretty close to it, when cleaning up after their dogs, but the photo was crap.

Upside-Down Wordless Sunday

Today #226

Today I looked up the lyrics for “Mmm Bop“. I think I heard a cat die.

Symbolicking Good

In Japan, highway service area signs use the “knife and fork” symbol to let motorists know that there is a restaurant on location.

I’ve never seen the “chopstick” symbol; it must be difficult to draw or something.

note: there should be a “two hand” symbol on highway service area signs, if there is a McDonald’s there.

.

Today #218

I was too dazed today.

Gunma Holiday

I live in Gunma-Prefecture.

I’ve been on a Gunma Holiday for the last 5 days: visiting places in Nagano-Prefecture, Tochigi-Prefecture, and Niigata Prefecture.

A Gunma holiday is more involved than other places … or involves more other places … for some reason.

note: Gunma is pretty big! … you have to drive through it on the way to where you are going quite often from here.

double note:

The road of life twists and turns and no two directions are ever the same. Yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination.
Don Williams, Jr.
“Gunma: it’s a journey.”
planetross

triple note: apologies for not responding to comments. It was a split-second decision to actually go somewhere: I thought about it for a second, then I split.

quadruple note: the poster in the picture was created to make Gunma look more cool as a tourist destination. A person doesn’t have to live in Japan for too long before they understand that Audrey Hepburn is/was/will always be the best foreign actress ever … and “Roman Holiday” the best movie.

Today #185

Today is the last day of holidays before going back to work for a day … then it’s the weekend! woo hoo!

Nozomi Ohashi … Again?

Nozomi Ohashi is back again!

If I was a Japanese child, I don’t think I would like her very much: she only seems to show up to notify kids about tests these days.

I bet if you saw Mickey Mouse on your decatheter or Hello Kitty on your speeding tickets, they wouldn’t look so cute anymore.

I have visions of Nozomi trying to hold back the tears in some Tokyo park while shouting, “No! There isn’t a test! … I just want to play tag with you!” … as all the other kids run away from her.

note: do you know what’s better than …

        ?

       hee hee!

double note: the other Nozomi Ohashi entries are here and here.

Today #183

Today is the last day of work for a week: I’m on holidays. I’m going to be like a bad idea for the next week. … I’m not going anywhere.

Gorillas

People with pet gorillas must have to carry some pretty big plastic bags around in their pockets when they take them for walks.

note: I don’t have a pet dog … I carry other crap around in plastic bags.

double note: a Zoo is always a zoo … even when it’s not busy.

.

Today #180

I hope today turns out like a pocket … because they turn out quite well usually.

Sometimes Advertising Works … Out

I think I’d enjoy RITMOStly … except for that guy.

note: this poster was outside the gym. All I know is that I’ve never seen anyone like the people in the poster at the gym … except for the guy.
I must go at the wrong time … or something.

double note: the only poster I might have a shot at is a wanted poster, but it’s a long shot.

triple note: I’m sure the people in the poster will be glad to have this poster 10 years from now … for posterity.

.

Today #161

Today was a “wham bam thank you ma’am” sort of day … without the ma’am.

Left For Another Day

Sometimes I drive by a place and think “I should go in there one day and check it out“, … but I always keep on driving.

I wish I worked there.

note: I wonder how many Egyptians drive by a pyramid and think “I should go in there someday.

double note: I don’t want to be buried in a pyramid … a triangle will do. I’d draw the line at an angle though … probably straight and connecting that angle into a triangle. hee hee!

triple note: the “Bermuda Pyramid” would be really scary! … and make a great movie!

.

Today 159

Today I was politically incorrect … I didn’t know what the ruling Party of The Netherlands was.

Citizen Kane

It’s just a hunch, but …

Citizen Kane would probably be a more famous movie if it was called “Citizen Titty Lip Service”.

note: I’m sure this is a hamster character’s name in one of Tooty Nolan‘s books. … or it should be!

double note: I should read shopping centre directories more often.

triple note: I was watched outside of “Citizen” and remained mute around “Lip Service“, but I couldn’t resist “Titty & Co.“.

quadruple note:What’s in fashion this season?

Today #118

Today rolled off the tongue like some German word I can’t pronounce.
