There should be a calculator for doing mental arithmetic
… or a ruler at least.
note: I feel sluggish lately … avoiding salt … leaving a trail … and all that stuff, but I really don’t feel like blogging for a while.
So I will be back after the next big event on my The Big Three list:
Numata Matsuri 2008 / Numata Matsuri 2009
Kinder Olympics / When Was The Last Time?
Dance Recital Madness / Dance Recital Madness: Day 2
Dance Recital Madness 2011
double note: I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again, I didn’t miss last year’s Numata Matsuri from August 3rd to 5th … I just took crappier photos than usual … and thought I’d give it a miss as blog fodder for a year. I will report on it again this year. (promise)
triple note: does anyone do mental algebra?
quadruple note: I think I deposed a ruler back in 1977 … when Canada went all metric on me.
Today was like eating a day old banana … it wasn’t ripe at all.

Returning home yesterday I thought my house might have been destroyed by the rainbow, but it wasn’t.
It was another near miss.
I’m lucky like that.
note: I better buy “rainbow insurance” this year.
double note: weather people never predict rainbows.
triple note: I have money saved for a rainy day, but not much put aside for the rainbow days to follow.
Today I told students that July 11th was “7-11 Day” … and everything was free at those stores.
I may have forgotten to tell a few of them that I was just joking.
It’s okay though … the police are pretty lenient on minors over here probably.

Some people start running around in circles early in life.
note: there are circles … and then there are circles.
double note: it took about 10 minutes to catch this kid by himself in this circle in Yokohama station. … Maybe it would have been easier to catch him in a triangle, if there was one that I didn’t see.
I had time … the girlfriend was in the bathroom … I think I was suppose to be watching her bag … or something important like that.
triple note: It kind of looks like a mushroom top … like in a video game … not the ones sold in supermarkets.
quadruple note: “vicious squares” are a bitch too!
Today on a Tokyo subway line, the guy across from me was wearing jeans, a white t-shirt, and a black vest … and then another guy came in and sat beside him in the same outfit … and then another guy came in dressed the same as the other two and stood close by them.
I was in a planetross t-shirt and green shorts … I didn’t see anybody else like that though.

I like to stack things individually … or by myself … or something like that.
note: don’t play the Cord Wood team! … That team is usually stacked!
On smoking hot days like today, I don’t mind working in a cool basement.
(the basement is cool in a temperature way, not a groovy funky way)

In Japan, highway service area signs use the “knife and fork” symbol to let motorists know that there is a restaurant on location.
I’ve never seen the “chopstick” symbol; it must be difficult to draw or something.
note: there should be a “two hand” symbol on highway service area signs, if there is a McDonald’s there.
I was too dazed today.

It’s the same rule for real estate agents as for chiropractors: “dislocation, dislocation, dislocation.”
note: I guess this coffee house doesn’t have to worry about painting … pruning maybe … but definitely not painting.
double note: “Pssst. Got any weeds?”
triple note: sure Starbucks says they are a Green company, but this place looks a lot Greener than them.
quadruple note: I’m going Gangrene, I think that will help the world.
Today was deleted.
