Birds don’t fly south for the winter; they fly south for the summer. … don’t be so egocentric.
The Sun revolves around all of the things here on Earth!
note: Do people in Southern areas say “The birds are flying North for the winter.“?
double note: equatorial birds don’t fly anywhere I guess.
triple note: global warming will be pretty anti-climatic for birds I guess.
quadruple note: coast line living used to be unfathomable for many … but now it might be fathomable.
“I saw some fish move into the Johnson’s. There goes the neighbourhood!”
quintuple note: “Six feet under! Over my … I’m moving up!”
.
notes to myself #132
Our Mother takes us to “Animal House” at 13!!!!
It’s a big deal … and very cool!!!!!
I still can’t believe it!
Yes they fly north for the winter from down here. They would only fly south for winter if they were penguins. And if they could make those little penguin wings actually get them into the air
That’s a cool mom. 🙂
Around these southern parts the birds seem to hang around all year.
When migrating birds return and land near equatorial birds, do the equatorials ever say “what was all that about”?
Is that where rotisserie chicken comes from? Birds roost on a wire and they electrocute them? Cool!
Thanks for the comments.
Tony: most birds probably try to escape winter because they can’t ski … and are too cheap to buy snowtires. hee hee!
sweetiegirlz: I must have begged her like crazy … or have been very mature for my age. … I go for “beg like crazy“.
The year before my best friend’s mother took us to “Slap Shot“. That was pretty amazing too!
razzbuffnik: there used to be crows that hung around the cherry trees year round on our property, but I think that was because my Mom had shot them and hung them there. hee hee!
omawarisan: do Australian birds go “flyabout“? hee hee!
S. Le: I thought of this “the rut” cartoon when I read your comment:
