Recoleta Cemetary

As I lay on the sofa with my eyes closed, I heard an ambulance siren in the distance;

and …

for one brief second I thought … maybe I’m dead and they are coming for me.

Maybe I died and didn’t know it.

Maybe that’s what happens.

I don’t know; I’ve never died before.

note: you’ll be glad to know I didn’t hopefully.

  1. Never fear the siren. A hearse is silent and will come for you without bells.
    I hope this puts your mind at rest.

  2. The funny thing about being dead is that you’d never know you were.

  3. Thanks for the comments.

    womaninblack: thanks for stopping by. I feel so much better now.

    razzbuffnik: true; but if you’re unlucky, you might have an idea that you’re dying. On the flipside, I usually have a good idea when I’m living.

  4. Thanks PR. I had managed quite a few months with little or no fear of dying, until, that is, I read this. Now I’m worried again in case I hear the ambulance but I’m dead already. I wonder if we’ll be able to blog in the hereafter…

    Sure you can…… it’s called BlOOging!

  6. Thanks for the comments.

    Epicurienne: I don’t think about dying too often … it will probably happen when I least expect it.

    razzbuffnik: Have you been playing on your ouija keyboard again?
