Of all sports’ rental equipment, bowling shoes are my least favourite.

Paying for the privilege to wear funny looking slightly sweaty shoes just isn’t right.

Are special shoes really necessary for bowling?

Do they improve your ability to play the game?

Why can’t people just use bowling socks?

I’d buy a pair even if they were funny colors.

note: the only other games involving gutters are drinking games.

  1. found your blog via Pat’s, and am already speechless by your profoundness.

Diving suits are a worse rental equipement, so I hear. At least people do not pee in the bowling shoes.

  2. I don’t like the idea of wearing other peoples shoes either. I do like getting a mis-matched pair though. They look so awesome!

  3. No to rental shoes! Yea to… rental socks? GRoss!

I found something that might tickle your fancy: it is an Oscar Dela Rental (sic) black and orange bathing suit Webbedtoechick would like to swap on

She might take slightly sweaty shoes for it.

  4. Thanks for the comments 🙂

    Nava: thanks for the compliment.

I agree about the diving suits, but …. what! you’re not supposed to pee in bowling shoes?

    S. Le: Aren’t all bowling shoes mismatched?

“You don’t really know a person until you walk a mile in their shoes.”

I think I know quite a few people now; and they all bowl 🙂

    nathaliewithanh: great site 🙂

My sweaty shoes are mine all mine! do you hear! (cradling sweaty shoes protectively) 🙂
