In Japan your blood type is supposedly connected to what type of person you are.
A - methodical, B - selfish, O - big heart, AB - mysterious.
I don’t think anyone takes it too seriously, but almost everyone knows their blood type.
I’ve worked with a few foreigners who didn’t know what blood type they were.
Japanese people find this hard to believe.
It’s like not knowing your birthday, where you live, what hand you use to write with, or if you are a human.
Me? My blood type is O.
I’ve given blood about 30 times.
I go for the cookies and juice you get afterwards.
There must be a few people out there walking around with some of my blood.

They’d have to give me more than juice and cookies to get my blood. Perhaps anesthesia?

If you gave five pints of blood at once, you’d probably look like a deflated balloon!
I only know my blood type because I am a super special AB Negative — which means that they love when I donate blood, but if I ever needed a transfusion I’m pretty much doomed…

The last time I donated ( O Neg ), I filled out the questionnaire, had my blood drawn (BTW, I HATE needles. Shivering just thinking about it now!) and then, after it was all done, was told that they could not use it because of some of the countries I’d visited in the last 10 years. AAGH!
I might go back and try again someday… but it’s gonna be a while before I forgive that one.

I’m not selfish….waaaahhhh
And the one and only time I tried to give blood I passed right out, cookie in hand. I guess I am a lightweight!

After checking with another person whose English is better, I will clarify the blood type characteristics.
A - serious, methodical, punctual
B - selfish (sometimes), happy, outgoing, not serious
O - big heart and messy!!!
AB - mysterious and strange
