I’m not a giant, but I’ve chosen to live in a country where I am considered tall.Fair Enough.I always hear people say that they wish they were taller.
Mostly from shorter people. Go figure!
I always ask people:
Do you like back problems?
Do you like knee problems?
Do you want to have a shorter life span?
Do you like circulatory problems?
Do you like being uncomfortable on buses, trains, or airplanes?
Do you like having no choice when buying shoes?
Do you like having to bend over in photos?
Do you like having your feet stick out the end of the bed?
Do you like ducking?
Has the oldest person in the world ever been tall?
Usually they think about it and say they would still like to be a bit taller!
Now for the good stuff!
You can always see what’s happening Always!!
You can always reach the top shelf.
You don’t have to use the granny when playing pool.
You never say, “I wish I was shorter”. At least not aloud or when not travelling.
You get very good at changing lightbulbs.
You are the first to see when your friend is going bald.

Hi-I’m a gangling fellow myself and identify with the points (especially “the good stuff”) that you’ve mentioned. Unfortunately, I’m still a bachelor because finding the perfect girl is proving to be a “tall” order! Au revoir.

I’m only 5′4″ & I always struggle with top shelves in the warehouse at work & supermarkets, always wished I was taller but considering all the problems you mentioned I think I’ll stay short, not that I have a choice at all

lol dude , im 6′1″ and i have not experienced non of those problems , i only enjoy all about being tall , matter of fact i wish i was a bit taller, about 6′4″ i play sport and im in the MMA (Mixed Marchall Art) and i have not had a problem , i dont know what are you on about ? but my question would be how much is your weight or what is your BMI

Alexander: This blog is just humor. I like being tall and wouldn’t want to be any shorter. I don’t have any of the problems I mentioned (yet), but most of the negative things are true for taller people when they get older. As for your question about weight, I’m usually between 85 and 88 kg (187 -194 pounds). I don’t know what my BMI is, but I’m probably fairly close to an average height/weight ratio.
